City Tour in Tbilisi

A few minutes travel by cable car and enjoy magnificent views of Old Tbilisi and the Botanical Garden.

The Bath district and Legvtakhevi Waterfall are the very heart of the city. A tiny river also runs through here, with its picture-square waterfall and beautiful canyon. Furthermore, according to legend, Tbilisi’s history starts with the hot sulfur springs.

In the past, Meidan was a trade center of Tbilisi. In reality, there are a lot of nice cafes and spots to take photos.

Tbilisi used to be a cultural and administrative center for the Transcaucasia region. It became a very multinational, multi-religious, and multicultural city. Nowadays, you can see mosques, synagogues, Georgian churches, Armenian churches, and a Catholic church. In its history and up till today, people of different nationalities and religions live peacefully beside each other. Above all, Tbilisi is called a city of tolerance.

Sioni Cathedral was built in the 6th century and used to be the main cathedral of Tbilisi. Even today, you can find one of the most important sacred objects of the Georgian Orthodox Church here: the cross of St. Nino, a converter of Georgians.

Baratashvili Avenue is one of the most beautiful avenues in the city. In the past, it was outside of the main protection walls of Tbilisi. During the reconstruction of this street, workers found city gates dating from the XI-XIII centuries. The government protects them and makes trails for people to walk around them.

The Clock Tower is a modern, bizarre tower built by the head of the puppet theater, Rezo Gabriadze, and became a favorite attraction for locals and tourists.

Anchiskhati Church is the oldest building in the city and dates back to the VI century.

The Bridge of Peace is a modern walking bridge in the heart of old Tbilisi and a lovely place to take photos.
