mAtsunta Pass Trekking 9 days tour starts from Tbilisi. Overnights in tents and guesthouses. During the tour you will first visit the ancient city of Mtskheta. Later you will visit Khevsureti, then traverse Atsunta Pass to Tusheti. From there you will drive to the wine region of Kakheti and visit some wineries.

Khevsureti is a remote mountainous district in northern Georgia, located between Kazbegi and Tusheti, which are divided by the Atsunta range. To the north is Chechnia, bordering the Pirikita range, and to the east is Dagestan, bordering the Akazma range. Subsequently, mountains surround it on all sides. In Tusheti there are 3 gorges, Pirikita gorge, Gometsari Gorge, and Chanchakhovani Gorge.
The scenery everywhere is spectacular. It is a mix of snow-covered rocky peaks, deep gorges, tower-dotted villages, and steep, grassy hillsides. All of Tusheti is under environmental protection as part of the Tusheti Protected Areas (1137 sq km). Also, this region is on the tentative UNESCO World Heritage list.
Atsunta Pass trekking is a popular tourist attraction in the area. On your demand, you can also have hiking, horse riding, or a jeep tour around this part of Georgia.
