In the evening time, it is a romantic place for couples to stroll together. When you walk past the Orbeliani Bath (Colorful Bath), pass through several bridges on the river, then you will see the waterfall, just at the end of the road.

The name Leghvtakhevi comes from the Georgian word “Leghvi” which means fig. There were so many trees of fig around this place.

Useful Tips

• Sensible shoes: Visiting Narikala involves lots of stairs and walking over a fair bit of uneven terrain. Wear your most comfortable shoes, especially if you plan to walk up or down the hill.
• Drinking water: There are spring water fountains inside the Botanical Garden.
• Hat & sunscreen: The entire hill is quite exposed so be sure to bring sun protection gear with you, especially in summer.
• Accessibility:  The distance from Abanotubani to the waterfall is about 400 meters. The road is easy and beautiful. Also, it’s suitable for wheelchair users.
• Safety: Sometimes small stones fall from the rock. Although the surrounding area is protected from stones, we still recommend that you be careful.
• Note – People are standing right next to the waterfall and offer to take a picture with a peacock or a monkey. To avoid further misunderstandings, we recommend that you find out the fee in advance.
