The city tour in Tbilisi starts at Metekhi Church, with a perfect panoramic view of Narikala Fortress, The Baths District, Meidan, Kala District, and Betlemi Street. The Monument of King Vakhang I Gorgasali (founder of Tbilisi) is also here. Baratashvili Avenue is one of the most beautiful avenues in the city. In the past, it was outside of the main protection walls of Tbilisi. During the reconstruction of this street, workers found city gates dating from the XI-XIII centuries. The government protects them and makes trails for people to walk around them.
The Clock Tower is a modern, bizarre tower built by the head of the puppet theater, Rezo Gabriadze, and became a favorite attraction for locals and tourists.
Anchiskhati Church is the oldest building in the city and dates back to the VI century.
The Bridge of Peace is a modern walking bridge in the heart of old Tbilisi and a lovely place to take photos.
